7 weeks post op tomorrow. Hit a stall around week 2 post op, and was stalled for almost 3 weeks. Since breaking through the stall, the pounds have been coming off day by day. I know it will come to a screeching halt again soon, but I'm so proud, I just had to share.

And, I just want to offer a little encouragement to the newbies who may be in a stall....Hang in there!!! Don't let it get the best of you! You WILL start losing again! It's a process that's unique to each individual. We aren't guaranteed smooth sailing, but stay the course, and you will reach your destination. ❤️️

30 lbs in a month? Your darn right to be proud! Congratulations and keep up the optimism - it's contagious.

Thank you for writing this! I will be 4 weeks post-op on Wednesday and have been stalled for almost two weeks. What may be worse is that I got fluids via iv at my two week check up and went up five pounds. The stall started with those five pounds (though I did lose 35 during the one week pre-op diet and those first two weeks post-op). I just keep chugging on, knowing I'm being irrational but still having that niggling doubt that I won't lose more.

I initially felt bad for posting this. It probably seems like bragging, and I didn't want anyone to feel that I was rubbing it in.

And thank you! I've been feeling good this week, finally! I was wondering when I would start feeling better in general.

Stalls and gains from fluids are the pits!! May I offer a little bit of a bright side?? If we hadn't have had this surgery, those 5 pounds would be fat and not Fluid.

You are not being irrational at all! Gains, especially when stalling, are a huge bummer. And it's soooo easy to feel defeated. And you have a right to feel that way!

That's right sister, just keep chugging! You will lose more. One day soon, you will step on those scales and squeal with delight!

I'm glad we are on the losing side! I never want to go back to where I was ever again! Congrats to you, love and hang in there! Message me sometime if you need to vent! ❤️️

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
