You can take most cold medicines that don't contain NSAIDs. So no ibuprofen, aspirin, or naproxin. You can take things with acetaminophen.

Ugh I've had this stupid cold all week and finally feel better today! I took liquid DayQuil because the pills get stuck in my tummy

Should be fine. Only has acetaminophen as a pain reliever, no NSAIDs.

Drink as much Water as you can stand. I started coming down with a cold a week or so ago and drank Water nonstop all day, over 100 ounces, and the next day it was gone!
