JBlue 19 Posted February 23, 2017 Hi all! I had the surgery on 2/15, too. I've really struggled over the past week to meet both my Fluid and Protein goals-- dang, but it's difficult. My doctor said not to worry about Protein at this point, just liquids, but I'm trying regardless. I'm with you, jjsasha-- I've been about 15oz short on liquids each day. We just gotta keep at it, I guess! 1 jovi2673 reacted to this
Lucky13inBR 6 Posted February 23, 2017 I hear of several different amounts as to what is the desired amount of Water to drink daily. Can I get some feedback on what instructions you received regarding that? I was told 40 oz.

There's no specific Water amount I was given to shoot for, but sample diet plans include about 26-30oz of water out of the 70oz target. I hope this helps! Lucky13inBR 6 Posted February 23, 2017 Okay I feel stupid because I see this in a lot of posts but I don't know what it is. What is NUT? I was given instructions of getting 80-100 grams of Protein a day. And sorry i misspoke. I was told 4 cups -- 32 oz. that certainly doesn't seem like enough. NUT = Nutritionist There's a FAQ post for the overall sleeve forum that has other common acronyms, too. 80-100g seems like an awesome target-- hopefully that amount of Protein will mean no hair loss issues, etc, later. (I'm going to kick it up even more now!) (I typed 75oz of protein, but I meant 75g. Whoops!) Well, if you're getting other fluids in beyond 32oz of Water, I imagine you're okay. The daily plans I've made have about 4 cups of Water in them, too.
Lucky13inBR 6 Posted February 23, 2017 Thanks!! I thought maybe you meant grams when you were talking about the Protein? Someone gave me info about a powder protein that each scoop gives 30 grams of protein. It dissolves well in Water. If you like yogurt there are some with high protein - sometimes 12.
