Gary Bentz 102 Posted January 27, 2017 How do you feel about having doubts about getting the surgery, preop wise? Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
blizair09 3,250 Posted January 27, 2017 I reminded myself that it had been 18 years since I weighed under 200 pounds. No regrets!
SillyJKC 13 Posted January 27, 2017 My surgery is Monday and yes... I have had doubts. But I remind myself that is can not be worse than feeling poorly all the time. It can certainly not be worse to live longer. I remind myself that I am afraid of change. It's comfortable to remain the same but there is a reason I started down this path and I'm not turning back now. . I hope that helps. As it becomes more possible, it also becomes more fighting. Tough to stay positive, and I really, really thank you all for your support. My wife fell down a few nights back. Touch and go for a few hours, but she's gonna be OK. , When our own mortality slaps you in the face like that, you begin to question, and be afraid of everything. Berry78 4,261 Posted January 28, 2017 I'm glad she is going to be ok. You are right about the slap... But, such slaps can go 2 ways. They can make you afraid of the surgery, but they can also make you afraid to keep living the way you have been. Each of us has only 1 life. We need to live it well...
