FamilyGuyNJ 123 Posted January 26, 2017 Is it ok to drink seltzer during the pre-op diet? I know carbonation is bad in my post sleeve life, but how about during the pre-op diet? Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
ddkVSG 32 Posted January 26, 2017 As long as there is no sugar it's fine.
FAT2LESS 45 Posted January 26, 2017 I was told no carbonation at all it will be the best for you in the long run any ways so i would omit it from now to get use to not drinking it BigBodyBombFace
Berry78 4,261 Posted January 26, 2017 Take this time to have your bubbly Water funeral. Be sure the funeral is complete several days before surgery so you don't have extra air in your intestines. Schatzi 17 Posted January 27, 2017 I'd give it up now or it'll be harder after surgery when you're still on liquids and can't have it. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using the BariatricPal App
AZLoser 103 Posted January 27, 2017 Agree with berry. I love my fizz and it was hard to give up. Do it before so you don't have to add another thing to give up right when you have surgery. You will have enough to wrestle with. Drinking fizz after can be dangerous. Definitely give up the week before.
