Help UGI coming up!

I am scheduled to have my UGI (barium swallow study) February 20th. I am so nervous about the mixture that you have to drink. I have a weak stomach and am nervous about the chalky drink. Please help me with how to get this stuff down!!!!

I too have a weak stomach too and got thru it. It wasn't too bad and it helps that we didn't get a choice really gotta do what you gotta do.

Typically the Barium is flavored ... usually vanilla flavor... it's almost the same texture as a chewed up TUM. You will get through it. At least they aren't giving you the non barium stuff.... gastrograffin ... it's nasty!
