minervaxx6 21 Posted January 25, 2017 Why? Why? Lol. I'm on Clear liquids for another 2 days, then on to full liquids. I am so hungry. No interest in the chicken stock- it tastes gross to me now. Sometimes I get miso down ok. Drinking Water and popsicles. Sometimes juice. Shouldn't I be less hungry post-op? rosestara 48 Posted January 25, 2017 I am now 20 days post op and for the first 2 weeks I was hungry all the time. I would wake up feeling like I was starving to death. It was real hunger and not head hunger and it didn't go away by drinking. Actually I never felt full even once during my first 2 weeks. Then I moved to puree foods and now I feel much better. I still get hungry but it is natural hunger. I now wake up feeling fine and eat Breakfast then I get hungry a few hours later when it is time for the next meal. I also now get very full on puree food but it doesn't last for a long time unless I eat too much.
Hlatta 13 Posted January 25, 2017 I am in the same situation as you!! I'm one week out and always hungry. I have been so discouraged. I spoke with my NUT today and she said to add two scoops of Protein powder to 8 oz of milk. That has been a game changer!! I finally felt what full felt like. Good luck!! minervaxx6 21 Posted January 25, 2017 Hoping once I move onto the full liquid phase I will feel fuller. Adding Protein powder to clear liquids tastes horrible to me now. I can taste it and it makes the consistency of Water too thick. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

minervaxx6 21 Posted January 25, 2017 Hardest part is I have to make meals for my 5 year old. I absent mindedly put a pancake piece in my mouth. I spit it out after three chews realizing what I did Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Berry78 4,261 Posted January 25, 2017 Ouch! This is what I'm afraid of! Maybe wear a ummmm... one of those medical mask things while cooking? Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
minervaxx6 21 Posted January 25, 2017 I guess it's good habit reinforcement bc if I'm going to change my eating habits, I'll still be making meals for my child. I've got to learn not to graze off her plate. That's one of my waiting issues Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
