Krisbell 26 Posted January 24, 2017 I just finished my 6 month supervised diet and weigh ins. Today is my appointment with my surgeon and hopefully today, I will have an idea of whats coming next. I've already done my psych eval and that went smooth. I know that my surgeon wants me to do some cardiac testing and a stress test, i'm a little nervous about both of those because I'm been extremely stressed lately. I know I will also have to meet with a NUT and what she called an exercise counselor? I'm so nervous though. I've got 2 insurances and I'm so scared that they both may end up denying me. I've worked so hard to get where I am and I can't afford to do self pay. I keep telling myself that if its meant to be, it will happen, but that doesn't stop my nerves from going on a roller coaster ride. I just needed to vent. _Kate_ 2,224 Posted January 24, 2017 I know its easier said than done but can you try some relaxation/breathing exercises which can help to calm you. Its surprising how much this can help with anxiety and stress. You can do them almost anywhere and no one will know you are doing them. If you google it you will have a lot of information on how to do this. Best wishes for the meeting with the surgeon and keep in touch to let us know how you get on Kate
Krisbell 26 Posted January 26, 2017 Everything went well. I have a NUT apointment on 2/28 and my stress tests are next Thursday! After I complete those is when they will submit for insurance.
iamOpalicious 53 Posted January 26, 2017 The best thing you can do now is focus on nothing in mind around the pre-op diet and getting yourself ready to transition post surgery. I wish I had spent more time in the pre-op diet because after surgery that was extremely strict and if you go from eating lobster and fillet mignon to sipping on broth and Jell-O it can be very stressful
