Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just wanted to thank SP for the list of foods that can be tried. I can start mushies today and the list made going shopping much easier. I was just wondering when i can take my dressings off? My Mum took my stitches out for me as she's a nurse and she thought that i should only have them on e few more days, at the most a week. What is others experience of this?

Thanks x

How lucky you are sweetheart that your Mum is a nurse, will she be able to do your fills for you too?

I would think being as your stitches are now out as long as there are no leaks you should be able to leave the dressings off.

I saw my GP last night, he examined my tum, and said well there's not as much fat there as there was before (compliment??). he said I have done really well.

He asked if I had piles (how embarrassing) I just nodded so he asked me to get on the couch so he could see.

I was appalled!! I said NO!!!! just believe me I do have them.

My fella was wetting himself, he says I'm so cheeky.

Anyway I have an appointment on Monday afternoon at the Spire Stretton, to see a Colorectal surgeon,...me is scared.

My daughter says she has done some research and it sounds like I have a rectal prolapse...she is the grim reaper sometimes.

I'm hoping its just an impaction and that he'll offer me a proper enima there and then.

I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else, just make sure you drink plenty of Water cos I'm sure this had something to do with my problem.

Hey guys, long time no speak! How is everyone? Flirty how are you doing after surgery? Any pics yet? Bet you look fab! Well just weighed myself and another 10lbs down since i last logged on (not bad considering i had alot of cocktails in Bahrain a few weeks ago!!) So that's nearly me at my 3 stone point. I can't have any more fills until i get back from the maldives on the 20 Sept so the will power is just gonna have to keep me going x

Hi Freckles your grandaughters room looks amazing, can i move there instead!!

My mum unfortunately lives 380 miles away from me so i wont be seeing her for 7 weeks now :(

I am on a night out on Saturday so might leave the dressings on until then and then take them off, thanks for your advice x

I think they might only be available in the larger tescos extra. They are situated by the slimfast drinks, there are two types, light version which are like slimfast with high carb, and CARB CONTROL they are in tetra blocks not bottles, the two flavours I have found are strawberry and choc the strawberry is the better of the two, you might like to try out the Atkins bars as well, expensive, but I find it useful to have one lurking at the bottom of my handbag. Good luck with the hunt.

Mush Ideas

I started mushies yesterday and still resorting to the old reliables. Yogurt for Breakfast (as not hungry in morn), Soup for lunch.

Had mash potatoes with carrots and broccoli in gravy for dinner which tasted so delicious, but anyone else got anymore ideas?

Also how long does this mushy stage last for?

hi sjs

I have a friend who was banded about 13/14 years ago her hair was getting really thin so she went to the dr and he gave her Multivitamins called forceval Vitamins and minerals she swears by them after taking them for a couple of weeks she saw a big difference in her hair and skin. I'v just started taking them last week and can see a big difference in my skin.they are a bit big but I can still swallow them whole even though my band is tight.

hi topping

congratulations on getting banded hope your feeling ok when I'm on mushes I use a wee hand blender and blend down some chicken with some gravy, sweet or mashed potatoe, veg like cauliflower, turnip, cabbage, any veg really.I blend them all seperate and sit them side by side on the plate so it's not all mixed together like a dogs dinner.you could do the same with steamed link sausage, fish and any other kind of meats but always put a wee drop of gravy or natural yogurt with some spices in with your meat cause it's to dry without it.you could also blend down some prawns or crabsicks

and seafood sauce or Mayonnaise to spread on dutch crispbread as a lunch.

beeboo x

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
