Garry

Glad to see that you will be getting fixed soon, and it sounds as though the team are keen to solve the problem without too much cost to you. I was glad to see that you had quick replys from both Chris and Fred, its good to know that if things go wrong their willing to sort it out. Mind they should as its not your fault its leaking.

Shame youre not going to Belgium this week, I will be going on thursday, getting banded on Friday. We could of had a few drinks the night before to calm my nerves. Its all getting frieghtning now :frown:.

Oh is the chocolate shop easy to find!!!!:crying:

Take Care

Hi Everyone

Well Im begining to get really nervous now, wondering if I'm doing the right thing. Feeling soooooooooo guilty about spending all of this money me, I could almost get a new kitchen!!! Pay for my son to have driving lessons and maybe a car, I could think of a hundred other things to spend the money on. I look at everything I'm eating and think ' this might be the last time I ever eat this, do I really need to do such a drastic thing. I know the answer is yes I do, if I didnt I wouldnt be in the situation in he first place. Then I worry that Dr Chris wont do the operation, what if he says I havent lost enough weight....he might send me home..empty handed as such. Sorry to rant but I'm keeping this a secret from everyone so theres nobody else to talk too, my hubby is so small he has no idea of what its like to be the fattest person around:crying: Knowing my luck I will be the only English person there next week.

Gillian........Dont worry you will get through the hols with the kids, only another four weeks to go. My kids used to argue for most of the hols, but now their older they seem to be out most days and I'm home alone, (ITS Great most of the time:thumbup:) but I work with children and get all of the hols off, its strange but it does take some getting used to the peace and quiet!!!!!!!

Freckles.........Sorry to hear your blocked.....Dont know what else to say apart from your post keep us smilling:lol:

Take care everyone

Jackie

Hi!

I have been reading the posts but one thing I am unsure of is, do you have to meet someone before getting a op date?

I am in N.Ireland and just wondered where I would have to go or what way does it work.

Mmm, I just had to read back because I couldnt remember who's daughter was pregnant, now I realise there's 2 of you lucky grannies lol.

My daughter is booked in for her section on 26th August.

They have done a fabulous job of making the small bedroom into a pink nursery, its beautiful, I'll try for some piccys soon.

She had an unfill by Freddy boy I think in June, he told her he needed to take it all out and then when she was ready after baby was born he would put it all back in, in 2 sessions.

She says she has put on 2 stone, but she looks to me just all baby.

Has your daughter picked any names yet?

So exciting isnt it, my daughter has 2 sons, 1 is 14 and 1 is 8.

Hi jackie i think we all had reservations about spending that amount of money on our selves, and thinking what else we could buy instead but believe me it is worth every penny especially when you see the weight coming off.. I also thought id be sent home, i thought i would be the biggest person to go for a band and he would send me home.. needless to say that didnt happen and i got my band, im sure everything will be just fine when you go for yours x

Thank you all so much for the welcomes. I have actually spent over a year lurking on these forums reading the posts.

I think my main motivation has been the fact NO ONE takes fat people seriously and I find that tough going in my business.

I am considering the lapband AP. Has anyone else got this band? It comes in tiny compartments and prevents creases forming that can split. It costs an extra 500 euro however and Dr. Chris says he hasn't seen that it helps with weightloss over time. Just reading Garry's experience though makes me think about it more seriously....

Any thoughts?

Gal x

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
