Alex, dont worry about the scars they do fade, and when they're healed properly try using Bio Oil, its great for scars and also for stretch marks.< /p>

I've got 10 scars, cos I have been banded twice. Both bands were implanted by Michael Van den Bossche, not in belgium, but in the bupa Southampton.

My first band eroded, very unusual...I loved the band that much that I got it done again, so that should tell you that you have made the right choice.

The girlies here have done so well with their weight losses I am really amazed.

Mines been slow cos i gave up smoking, sorry to say i started again 2 weeks ago, cos I felt the weight wasnt shifting as fast as it could have.

Plus i dont have much will power, a friend stayed for the weekend and she smokes a lot, I couldnt eat could hardly drink, so started the fags again...yeh I know...stupid!!

I wasnt going to pay all that money to have the smoking thing stop me losing.

Anyway chick, you will be home before you know it, dont forget to tell us how you go on.

Alex, Wow that was the quickest booking Ive heard yet. I have been waiting around 8 weeks or more and I am getting done next week. Ive been through a roller coaster of emotions so you will be able to avoid all that. Good luck and post all your experiences on here. j x

Hi alex and welcome, just a note to remind you that when you get back you'll need to rest for a week and you wont feel up to driving for a few days, take a mug with you for in the hotel, look on u tube search miss flump the video will show you what to expect and you can see the size of the cuts, also take some windeeze gels. Dont forget to post on here when you get back.

Hi everyone, I'm leaving for France again tonight, and I'll catch up with you all when I return 6th July.

For those who will be banded when I'm away, I wish you well and a quick recovery.

Love to all Maggs MMM :wink2:

I would confirm with someone with medical knowledge about zantac, because a friend of mine had to stop useing it for 3 months before they were allowed the op. Take care.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
