Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Recommended Posts

Hi Kathy,

I'm feeling grand today. Getting a bit better each day. Weighed myself today and i'm down 6lbs since last week but do bare in mind I practically havn't eaten anything since last Thursday night. In total I'm down 10lbs since I started my pre op diet.

I emailed Allan last night and he's in a lot of pain. I told him that garrymc had a haematoma too and he should join here and have a chat with him. He said he's feeling a bit down and can only eat slimfast.

Anyway, weight aside I think the first thing you should do is get to see a specialist about the liver. Once that's cleared up it'll give you the strength and head space to go forward with the diet. I know what you weigh but you really don't appear so big and you carry yourself so well. I agree with gillian about Mags post, it truely was lovely and came straight from the heart.. Take this few days to relax and chill (weather is good so I'm assuming you didn't go back to work!!). You have me email address so mail me anytime and everyone else here is so supportive to so at least you have someone to talk to. Love ShellX

shelly

feel free to pss my mail address to that chp if he does not want to come on here, garry@ioniaespresso.co.uk

i would leave at least 3-4 hours for food, not so important for Fluid maybe 1/2-1 hour.

good luck

Thanks Garry I will pass on your details to him. He's joined the site but can't seem to find our thread. He says he in alot of pain and feels really miserable. I remembered you had a haematoma too so I thought you might be able to put his mind at ease. Thanks you are so kind.

Would you be able to tell me how to put my ticker on? I have the ticker done but just don't know how to paste it into this site.

Thanks

If you paste the the ticker and the log into to this site! there is a signature section under user cp! paste it in the box and save it! You can view it aswell to see what it looks like!

Think this is right!

Hi Shelly - glad to hear you are doing well, hope Mairaid is as well? Please tell Alan I was asking about him and hope he is feeling better soon. I still must get in touch with my own docs about the liver. But just to top off my great weekend adventure, my aunt died on Sunday, so funeral and wake etc now just over. It comes just five months after my dad died (she was his sister, here in Ireland) so the rest of his siblings are having a very tough time. Ugh - lots of 'stuff' at once!

you will have 5 wounds (6 for a guy), four of them will be no longer than a cm and 1 will be about 5-6 cm as this is your port.

Thank you for that Garry :bored:

Cheers,

Vikki

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
