Hi flirty a little tip i heared if you have had somthing stuck is to put loads of ice cubes in a glass and fill with Water a sip it all if you can .Supposedly when you get stuck the inside of your stomach swells and drinking the ice cold water reduces the swelling.

Ye still got restriction it has eased off a little since the first week but definitely a big diffrence .All my meals are eaten off a tea plate or a small bowl now because i kept thinking i could eat more than i actully could and was putting my dinner out on a normal plate and having to leave most of it.

How was the holiday?im off to majorca tomorrow morning so i will have watch what im doing as it is half board .

good on you mate i am glad to hear it, i think my next fill will get me there, hol was good only 4 days there but it was good, i went with that idea but that failed at first hurdle but i never had your restriction but i kicked the ar*e oot the bevvy, i was a good 7 pound heavier on sun, but a lot most have been Fluid as 5 of it has gone already by being strict and training again. You and the family have a good time you deserve it.

Take it easy

Thats what im like on holiday when i went away for a week i put on half a stone if i went away for a fortnight it was a stone. Its actully work im going with the famaily is staying behind:wub:.I hope you get the restriction on your next fill it defenitely makes the diffrence.I meant to say since i got restriction i cant drink the bevy as much either.I was at a mates engagment on sat and all i could drink was 3 pints which is a big diffrence to 7 months ago when i could polish off ten pints no bother.

Hey,

Just a quick question!! Is fizzy a big no no as i see you can drink a couple of pints! Its just if i do go for a drink I like to have vodka and diet coke as wine tends to give me bad acid reflux!!!!

For me i drink magners cider so i just put ice in it and give it a stir with a straw and that takes out alot of the fizz out i suppose you could do that with vodka and coke.

Thats ok then!!! Is it true you get drunk more easily as well? Cause I have quite a high tolerance at the moment!!!!!!!!

Ye you do get drunker quicker as there is not alot of food in your stomach. But im finding it harder to get drunk as i cant fit as much in to my stomach as i used to unless i drink spirits. This has only happened since i had my last fill because before it i still could drink alot

Hey bobo thanks for tip im just after managing to get a coffee down thank god i really dont know what happened but im gona stay on liquids for a day or 2cos i can actually feel my insides swollen and my throat is killing me from heaving so much so im not even chancing food... I was at my doc today asking about plastic surgeons she said she'l write to plastics in dublin see if i could get it free but im not holding my breath cos of the times and little funding but sure its worth a shot but one way or another it'l be done lol i was thrilled i was 6st 7lb lighter on her scales and 8st 7lb lighter than when i was at my heaviest so cant complain and hopefully a few days on liquids will leave me a few more lb down and then with fill next week i plan on staying on liquids the monday nite till the sat try give the fill a good chance to settle and a week on liquids usually shrinks the stomach too so fingers crossed il hit the 7st mark but i vow not to eat shit cos any time i have done recently it aint been nice and my latest experience last nite has put me right off... and odgemodge i drink vodka and red bull no probs sure once the red bull hits the vodka and ice it loses its fizz but i also have a few beers too and have had no probs

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
