Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Recommended Posts

Hi Gillian

I live at the bottom of Cornwall, Truro, so I don't imagine there is anyone near here! Thanks for looking for me.

The milk thistle tablets are 450mg capsules. You are supposed to take 3 a day, but I am taking one in the morning and one at night.

Great info on painlillers, dressings, clothes, shoes etc. keep it all coming for us pre-banders.

A friend was telling me Dr Chris was on TV over the weekend. He was doing stomach staples, but she can't remember what channel it was or what the programme was called. All she remembers was that it was Dr De Bruyne! Anyone see it?

Hey West, those Milk Thistle you have are great, what make are they?

I used to buy Holland Barrats own, but they were only 280mg and only one a day. Then I found stronger ones online from Healthy Direct but even they are only 380mg and again just one a day.

I think I'd like to buy the ones you have, great content.

I think you have to give it your best shot and work around other occasions in your life. You will always have invitations to meals and drinks before and after the op. If you don't go silly and you try your best it will be OK. W x

Morning!

We've been thin on the ground over the last week or so. I hope everyone is OK!

I start on mushies today but had to have Pasta for lunch yesterday as I met my manager for lunch. It was well overcooked anyway but went down fine! Not expecting miracles as I've still only got 4 ml in a 7-9 ml band.

I'm glad the format is back to normal on here - yay!!

How's everyone doing today? x

BTW - I've got a monster bruise after my fill. Is this normal? It didn't really hurt so not that bothered but it did for 24 hours after. The first fill didn't hurt though, maybe she was just having a good look around!

Hi suefee, our flight time home was stupid o'clock in the morning.. it was hard going if im honest, i wasnt really in pain its just that i was so hot and felt faint, i asked for a wheel chair at the airport and then a porter took me and my partner straight through, didnt have to queue to check in or anything.. so if you dont feel to good ask for one, the staff at the airport were great x

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
