Hlatta 13 Posted January 23, 2017 I had a successful sleeve surgery 4 days ago on 1-18-17 but have been having hunger pains. It's very discouraging as this was one of the reasons I had the surgery. Is this common, has anyone else experienced this? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
jellybean12 65 Posted January 23, 2017 Hi - I also thought I was having hunger pangs but it turns out that acid reflux or indigestion or the like often feels like a growling stomach to me (and others, as my dr. told me.) I was given a prescription for pepcid and it worked to eliminate those hunger like feelings.
Hlatta 13 Posted January 23, 2017 Thank you jellybean12. I think I'm going to try Gaviscon to see if that will help. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
nevergoingback 1 Posted January 23, 2017 I was hungry the day after surgery and it has stuck. I was nervous and discouraged too. I couldn't really get full either. I didn't over eat ever, but I felt like I was eating too much. However, I went to my 3 week follow up and I was 25 pounds down! The doctor said he would have been happy with 15 pounds. Just work through it and get your Water in. You got this! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

kheter55 33 Posted January 23, 2017 I had my sleeve done on 1/19/2017. I am on Pepcid and it sounds like my stomach is eating itself. The noise it makes! I'm back on the shakes starting today, hoping that helps! I had a successful sleeve surgery 4 days ago on 1-18-17 but have been having hunger pains.
