Gypsy52 5 Posted January 22, 2017 I'm curious. Is stomach inflamation par for the course? During my endoscopy they found inflamation in my stomach. They took biopsies but that was many weeks ago. I'm sure if it was anything serious or requiring meds that I would have heard something. Has anyone had any experience with this? FindingCarrie 244 Posted January 22, 2017 I had inflammation when they did my EGD, and they biopsies for H. Pylori, which apparently is. Eye common, but mine was negative. They said if it had been positive they would have just called in a script of antibiotic in for me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Chicken Lady 102 Posted January 26, 2017 I had inflammation in my stomach too. It turned out to be h pylori & apparently I had an ulcer at some point in the past. The h pylori treatment protocol delayed my surgery by a few months, but I was very relieved to get it treated (it can cause stomach cancer!) HW - 283 SW- 238 CW- ? ryan_86 335 Posted January 26, 2017 I've had it. It can also be caused by bad GERD. Mine didn't require treatment beyond what I was already taking. I wouldn't be concerned if your doctor wasn't concerned. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
