jro5360 9 Posted January 21, 2017 Hi all! I had my surgery yesterday, and I am hating life. I have so much nausea and gas pain... please tell me this is normal? Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App
Vee16 33 Posted January 21, 2017 Walk and walk then walk some more. Trust me. And drink teeny tiny sips all day. This will pass and you will soon see how totally worth it this is! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
bossportsgal 136 Posted January 21, 2017 Exactly what Vee said. It will pass I'm on day 12 today and believe I felt like you. But now I feel totally normal. Just waiting for 2 weeks to hot so I can get off liquids. That is hard in my eyes. But it's well well worth it. Down 12 lbs already. DFP 15 Posted January 21, 2017 Get up and walk every hour . Your Dr should have given you a prescription for nausea. I fortunately did not exp the nausea. Had very little gas. I have walked ever hour since I came out of recovery this past Tuesday. It will get better. Hang in there Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Jessibird 32 Posted January 21, 2017 The first couple of days really hurt. It passes quickly. Walk and drink sips of Water. Shoulder massages helped me a lot too in the first two days. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
mrlgrl 13 Posted January 22, 2017 Gas and shoulder pain are expected....they pump your abdomen full of air and it takes awhile for it to get out..air travels up so referred pain in your shoulders is also common Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
jro5360 9 Posted January 22, 2017 Thank you everyone. The pains I am having are very sharp stabbing pains just below my ribcage. They are debilitating. Have any of you had this? Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App
20mustang02 22 Posted January 22, 2017 Gas X strips helped me so much. And a heating pad for the shoulder pain. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
