Your nerves are getting the best of you honey, just remember why your started. My surgery is 2 weeks away and I myself find myself with a lot of anxiety. Breathing exercises helps me. Good luck!

My surgery is Wednesday and I feel exactly the same! I don't have any sort of pre-op diet either and I keep thinking they are going to get into surgery and my liver will be huge or something.... I totally trust my surgeon and I'm sure it will be fine. I'm just ready for it to be over!

My RNY surgery is tomorrow, as well. Its easy to let our minds get the better of us, isn't it? I too trust my surgeon and his team and keep reminding myself of all the benefits I'm working for. I keep chanting to myself "1-2-3 to a healthier me."(1/23 date). Ha!

I'm jealous you didn't have to do a pre-op diet. I have been on liquids for 2 weeks and would give anything to bite into something crunchy right now.

Congratulations and good luck tomorrow!

My surgery date was originally 01/23, but due to an insurance issue around where I'm having surgery, my date was pushed to 02/13. They let me know 4 days before surgery,so I was on my liquid diet, I now have to start all over again on 02/01. I was devastated, but I can wait, I've been waiting 6 months so far what is a few more weeks.

I think some nervousness is normal. My date is 1/26 and I have those moments too. Use your support system. We are all cheering you on as well.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
