Sorry hon, don't give up. I would find a more capable doctor for the second time, don't go back to the same one. I went to Dr. Dietrich in Tampa Florida [emoji6]

No, honey, stay encouraged. Keep moving forward. If you need to, go to an experienced surgeon. Don't feel embarrassed. I'm glad you were able to make it this far and I'm glad the surgeon was able to stop at the right time. Keep pressing forward.

That must have been incredibly disappointing. I am sure your surgeon did what he thought was best for your health and safety, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating. Please don't give up, though. Hang tough and work to lose the weight by sticking to a post-op style diet of high Protein and low carbs. Use this time to practice and develop the good habits that will make you successful once you really are able to have the surgery.

I'm so sorry for you. I can imagine how you must feel but remember why you chose to have the surgery in the first place. Let that be your fuel for success. We all have a journey - for some it was easier in retrospect but we all have a story and this is yours. Be your own strength. Yes you CAN do this and if you really want it - you will, too! I believe in you.

xoxo

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
