Ughhhhhh I'm finding it hard to get Protein in all day plus fluids, also not to go to munch on cheetos till I feel sick...need some guidance. I felt better.with today a shake for Breakfast, stuffed half pepper with rice and few veg with cheese, then I'm doing spag bol for dinner over squash....I'm still drinking but ughhhhhh....it's so overwhelming and I don't get much support from my family which makes me down x

How far post-op are you?

I'm 5, but I had complications with my Myasthenia Gravis and when after surgery I was hospitalised for 4 months, 8 weeks of that being in icu ventilated...they then didn't want me loosing weight quickly and fed.me via nj 24hrs...I ended up with a trachy so I could talk and come off the ventilator, I'm allowed normal foods from my dietician...I'm just feeling blurrrghhhhh x

@@lwhit86 I'm sorry you're having such an issue. I would really suggest trying to eat lean Proteins and stay away from carbs and "extra" food that you don't need.

I eat a yogurt for Breakfast every morning because it fills me up more than a shake. I eat dannon light & easy. Its 80 calories and it has 12 grams of Protein. I snack on beef Jerky for Protein.< /p>

I drink fairlife milk as well because it is higher in protein than regular milk.

For lunch I'll eat 2 or 3 oz of grilled chicken and I usually cant eat much more than that. Try turkey sandwich meat rolled up with some cheese (not kraft) with a little mustard.

For dinner, again, chicken. I always look to protein first.

Good luck! Feel free to send me messages whenever you like and Id be happy to give you suggestions.

Thanks so much for your reply, you've got some good suggestions. I'll keep those in mind...I'm good at keeping away from bread/pasta but those cheetos and my sweet tooth call in my head and it's so hard to not give in..what's your go to?

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
