paula 4 Posted February 5, 2005 what does this mean? IF you have any of these symptoms, you need to contact your surgeon and discuss what to do. Sometimes its as simple as getting a slight unfill that will stop these symptoms.
Mita 2 Posted February 5, 2005 update I raised my bed actually put wood under there and I must say what a differance it made I actually slept the entire night with no reflux but then again I did take that pill yesterday but I will wait and see how I do again tonight and in the following days. One other thing I noticed is coffee that is my down fall ever since I gave up being the soda queen I turned to coffee at work and I must say I have become quite a coffee drinker that could be adding to my problems. Going to cut down on drinkin so much and when I drink it. As of late after 1pm Thanks for all the advise hoping I get better
paula 4 Posted February 5, 2005 Mary, Thank God something is working. My husband would call the padded truck in before allowing me to lift the top of our bed. So, I have to resort to the pillows for elevating my head. Marie, just wondering... do you feel the need to slide down the bed when the top is raised? just wondering! New Hope 37 Posted February 5, 2005 Paula, unfortunately, the pillows are only bending your tummy and making the problem worse. You can gradually increase the height of the headboard until you get used to it. And I've never slid out of the bed. LOL But my large 65 pound dog likes it because she can get under the bed. Belle joufflue une 1 Posted February 5, 2005 Dear All, I am Brand New to thos board, and am very excited and eager to post! The before and after pics were PURE INSPIRATION! I wanted to say that I have GERD, or reflux. The other night I woke up and thought I was having a heart attack because the pain was so bad. It happened because I ate White Castle. BTW-I don't have my band on yet....I get it Thursday! But it is like the WORST heartburn ever. It feels like a painful pressure in the esophagus area. It gets bad when I eat late at night, or eat crap (like White Castle most specifically). I am not treated for it yet...and I hope that the band will help (because of lifestyle change and restriction.) Well, I look forward to posting, and you all take care! paula 4 Posted February 5, 2005 Hey Joanie, Welcome! And good luck on Thursday. Where are you from?
Mita 2 Posted February 6, 2005 Actually no one has noticed what I did to the bed it's raised about 3 inches and I do find myself kinda inching my way down a bit but not much and actually I feel ok again today. But of course the pill maybe I will stop the pill for a couple of days and see what happens. Oh yeah all those gurgling noises has calmed down a bit the only time I hear it is when my pouch is emptying. Maybe it is safe to go see a movie today. paula 4 Posted March 5, 2005 Hi Michelle, Im just now re-reading this thread and noticed your question. Sorry for not catching it sooner! Do I drink alot of coffee? Yes. Usually 3 cups in the morning, and some days a Cappuccino in mid afternoon. I know, I know... NOT good for reflux!
