I started a few weeks earlier than the required pre-op diet. I replaced Breakfast and lunch and had a reasonable homemade dinner and I lost 15 pounds. Then another 10 for the actual pre-op liquid diet.

25 total. My problem is keeping it off long term.

I'm 41 and my starting weight was 389lbs. Before the pre-op diet I lost 35lbs. With the liquid diet I lost 22lbs. My surgery weight was 332.

I did not do as well as the previous posters. I lost a total of 10 pounds in three weeks. But the difference was noticeable and I felt not only better physically but mentally as well.

My surgery is February 20 not on any pre - op diet lost 16 Lbs on my own , by just changing my diet no soda, juice or coffee. Just Water and crystal light. Do I have to loss more before surgery?
