SUSHI RICE

Rice, seasoned miran, soy, avocado, cucumber, ebi (shrimp) furikake sprinkles (there are various kinds if you prefer not to eat seafood), sesame seed, carrot, Sriracha, Korean savory roasted seaweed snack sheets. Mmm Mmm good!

You can add baked tofu instead of the Ebi if you dont consume seafood.

I just eat all Protein and veggies nothing else but like chose and little milk. Lots of Water and good fruit when I can eat. Too many carbs bug my band down and take away my Protein and making me feel bloated. Pasta makes my blog sugars spike and I feel energy drained all day. With its could eat it.

Thank you I've been lap banded for 2 years now and feel amazing. What did you have done. I've been cooking so many lab band foods and going to open my tiny bites for people who wanna eat small and stay healthy. I have lots of amazing foods and just the right size.

I made a SWEET and SOUR Soup with TOFU and veggies. We didn't care for it. We have a restarant that serves Stir fried veggies with panfried Tofu. It is pretty good. I can eat a small amount but hubby LOVES it. Not Vegan or vegatrain but we try different things off and on.

I'm big on Beans ... refried or just smashed. Lentils, split peas, quinoa.

Maybe because it's been cold and I like something simmering? Baked tofu is tasty too

(FYI I am not exclusively vegetarian... occasionally I'll eat chicken.)

My band has encouraged grain Protein far over any other product

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
