Hi! I was sleeved August 17, 2016. I have lost a pretty decent amount of weight, but I haven't lost anything in the last two months. Since Thanksgiving, I haven't dropped a single ounce. I am still getting my Protein and Water in every day and staying in a good calorie range. I am active and have really tried to stay on track. I just cannot seem to bust through this plateau. I have an appointment with my doctor next month but I really do not want to go in without a single pound lost! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to break through a plateau? Should I change things up? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Whenever I have a stall that lasts longer than I think it should, I always call the nutritionist first, then the surgeon if I get no response. At one point, the nut told me I wasn't getting enough calories, I increased and started losing within a couple days.

I am also in a stall. I have not lost any weight since before Christmas. I am also trying very hard to stay on track. I have gone back this week to drinking a lot of Protein shakes except for one meal per day. After 3 days of that I have still not lost anything. I had my surgery July 13th and have only lost 55 lbs. I am getting very discouraged.

I agree with Chrmow. I've heard the same thing.

Hi all, I am new to this site and discussions. I had surgery in April 2016, so about 9

months now and along the way I have had some stalls though I have lost a good amount of weight. It is getting more difficult as I go along and I have a way to go to reach my goal. I've noticed a lot of posts are from new people who are in the "new phases" of excitement and things that are mostly positive, but I would like to see if anyone else is finding it more challenging with time.

I'm on this website to get support from others who are working through this life change, and to help

me stay focused on my goal. I appreciate any feedback, challenges, successes that any of

you are going through...

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
