Starting over for me is hard. I was sleeved in late 2014 (age 44). I have lost 67 pounds as of 1/17/2017 that have stayed off. I need to lose 57 more pounds to be at my goal weight. I had a lot of things going on. I left me behind.

I want to be healthy. For me that equals, working out, planning and recording meals and with no more excuses. This is hard. I am going to get it done. My last start over. I will get my goal as my health is vital. I am open to any suggestions positive . This is truly humbling.

It sounds like you are committed to getting back on track. Take time to reflect on the things you can improve. you probably already know what you've done "wrong" but you need to work out how you are going to fix them moving forward. A lot of people have some success resetting themselves with the 5 Day Pouch Test. I haven't done it, but it seems to help people get back to basics and refocus.

The good news is, your sleeve is still there! It's ready for you to start wielding as the tool it was meant to be once again!

I'm glad the sleeve kept your weight down 67 pounds. Good luck with everything

I was sleeved in August 2015. My weight the day of surgery was 349 and I currently weight 217 I'm 5'9. My goal weight is 165/170 depending on my clothing size. I always wanted to be a medium sized women's 10/12 and I'm a 16 now. I fell off the program a little bit and carbs have slowed my weightloss. I'm getting back on track with clean eating meal prepping and exercising moderately for 6 days a week with HITT cardio and strength training. I have 50 pounds to lose before I get to goal. Let's do this together and hold each other accountable.

Thank you. Yes. My goal weight is 147-150. I am 5'6" as this morning I am 200 starting weight 270. It kinda hurts to write that. However, let"s do this. I work out 5 days a week. I just need to get off the carbs. The last few months I starting drinking due to stress (weekends). That stopped as of last weekend. I am happy and see hope. Let us keep eachother accountable.

Good morning, ladies!!! Can I hop on this train?

Thank you for sharing your struggles with getting to goal; I'm right there with you. For the past year I have hovered within about a 15 lb. range. Got so close to moving into Onederland this time last year only to fall off the track. (I need to update my current weight on here to reflect my reality :() I'm working my way back to doing the basics that I know worked for me in the past just after surgery. So thankful that my sleeve keeps my food and liquid intake real.......real small; it's the bad choices I've made and the slippery slope I've been on that's the problem. Fortunately, I never stopped exercising, weighing and measuring, did get lazy logging food, but that's changed back to being on track.

Let's do this!!!

@@Mrs.ChangingTX

Thanks! And I agree.....accountability helps with reaching goals and keeping it real and honest with ourselves.

I just updated my weight tracker to this morning's weight. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to do that as a step toward being more honest with myself.

Onward to goal we go!! @@Mrs.ChangingTX and @@ProudMomof2 and anyone else who wants to come along.

@@JamieLogical - You are and always have been an encouragement to me and you always have sound advice. I appreciate your honesty and encouragement and your words of wisdom....always!

How's everyone doing with their Vitamins? Are you guys taking bariatric vitamins or generic? I slacked off a bit but I started to feel the difference in my energy level. So needless to say I'm back on track with those as well. I'm also adding a supplement of Omega 3 fish oil and CLA which is suppose to help with cardiovascular health, metabolism and lean muscle mass.

I suck at taking my Vitamins. My D is low. I need to get my prescription this weekend. Today, I am having carb withdrawal from this 5 Day Pouch Test. Lol But, I am not at all hungry. I even passed on my favorite cake at a work party. They do not know I am sleeved. They know that working out is part of my lifestyle.

I am always fascinated to hear that people struggle to take their Vitamins regularly. For me, it's part of my routine and I almost never forget to take them. The only times I do forget is when I am out of my routine for some reason, like out of town or on vacation or something. Why is it that you struggle? Is it that your life doesn't allow for a regular routine? Is it that you never get into a routine with them i the first place? Have you tried the various med/vitamin reminder apps that are available?

I need to just put myself first. I often forget about what I need. I am better at taking care of others. I am just happy to have this tool and it still works!

I take a store brand multi (Walmart's version of Centrum for Seniors) along with other supplements, spacing them out over the morning because I get full taking all my morning meds w/water. I've been on target with all of them from the get go. Multi, Calcium w/D3, D3, B12, Iron, coq10, Biotin, plus some meds is my daily routine. My surgeon did not require me to take bariatric-specific vitamins or supplements. The only supplements he added to my daily routine are coq10, Biotin, and Calcium.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
