Kristen_vsg 114 Posted January 16, 2017 I was told by my surgeon today if I don't get 64oz of liquid pre day I'll end up back in the hospital. It just feel impossible right now I'm 5 days out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
blizair09 3,250 Posted January 16, 2017 Getting the Water in is just one of those things you have to do. Commit yourself to sipping all day long and you'll get it in. Some people find sipping out of a shot glass is helpful. Also, remember that your "food" (e.g., broth and the like) also counts as liquid if that helps. Good luck! BBweightlossjourney 49 Posted January 16, 2017 You can do it!! The consequence of NOT getting it in is alot worse... Take it slow..Make it your JOB to get that Water in.. Use an alarm and every 15min take a sip.. you can do it!! Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

tani 105 Posted January 16, 2017 I had a similar situation. I was getting dehydrated fast. But my nut said popcicles, the liquid mixed with Protein power, broth, etc. are considered fluids. So I got creative with all the different flavors of protein. I was nauseous with whey protein but I found ways around gagging with a few flavors by adding frozen berries to some of the flavors mixed with crystal light. Wonder WomanNJ 119 Posted January 16, 2017 Good Girl - I was going to suggest Crystal Light. Pre-surgery I would drink almost a gallon of Water per day, before 6pm. NOW- I can't stand the "taste" of Water. The crystal light really helped to get me to drink it. I also drink Peppermint tea when I need something warm, that helps. Good luck. maebme 17 Posted January 16, 2017 Make it your job to drink. Set a timer to remind yourself. Switch up your drinks for variety and popsicles really help. Good luck! Sent from my Nexus 7 using the BariatricPal App
