Docgholson 17 Posted January 16, 2017 I'm concerned about diet for myself. I am a very picky eater, no salad, fruit, oatmeal, greens etc... Not sure what I'm gonna do before and after my procedure. Suggestions? Sent from my Pixel XL using the BariatricPal App
20mustang02 22 Posted January 16, 2017 I am the same way. But since I had surgery on the 11th things are sweeter sometimes too sweet. I hear that your taste buds change so just be open minded and try things again. That's my plan once I am off all liquids. teeshan 19 Posted January 16, 2017 There are several bariatric cookbooks on Amazon that are reasonable. Some of the recipes sound good to me! I am a very picky eater as well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Detroit_25 77 Posted January 18, 2017 I think it boils down to... how bad do you want this??? With or without surgery, you'll have to make sacrifices and adjustments for massive weight loss. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Sam827 9 Posted January 18, 2017 I am scheduled for 1/30 ! I also have been thinking about foods post op ... I have never liked yogurt but am willing to give it a try ...I have to because this is too important to me Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
sabs 10 Posted January 18, 2017 Following this, cause me too!! I just started my pre-op liquids and sheesh I can't stand jello! But I'm hoping that things will taste better/different after surgery, especially since you're basically going cold-turkey on the carbs. Not sure what will happen with my texture issues, but if at least my tastes were better, that would be an improvement
Docgholson 17 Posted January 19, 2017 I agree it's important and I'm willing to try as hard as possible. With that said it's easy to say you just have to do it, but if you don't like something it's not that easy. I too have a texture issue and some things I just can't stomach.
