TracieSue 36 Posted January 16, 2017 My post op instructions for Stage 3 Soft Foods say to avoid "Enriched (white) Breads" so does that mean whole wheat and multi-grain is okay? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
fatontheinside 92 Posted January 16, 2017 NO! Don't eat bread. There is no specific nutritional value in it that you need. if you're craving bread, make sure to toast it first. You'll probably only be able to eat 1/4 of it anyway. It can get stuck and make you sick and throwing up is a pain in the butt. I've made a "No" list and on it is bread, noodles, breaded chicken (like boneless wings), spicy foods, and sweet foods. Best of luck to you!! TracieSue 36 Posted January 16, 2017 Thank-you, Linda! I will approach with extreme caution and wait until at least 4 months out (I'm only at 12 days!) before I try any kind of bread. I didn't eat much bread unless I ate pizza or a sandwich post op anyway, and even then I left the outside crust uneaten and always ate anything but white bread and usually toasted it for sandwiches. I really won't miss bread that much, I was just curious if anyone could eat it! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
