Im so ready for this. I have wide feet and they hate shoes. It's like a kid spitting out veggies. Not much really agrees with my feet. So I'm hoping to lose some weight in them and go down a size or something or to atleast not be wide width anymore

I definitely think this is true, for me at least! Luckily, where I work, we can wear jeans and sandals, things like that as we typically don't have anyone in the office. Last week, we had to dress business casual because of someone coming in. I haven't had to wear dress shoes in about a year or so. I tried to put a pair of flats on, and when I walked, they flipped up and down off of my heels. So there was no way I could wear them. I never thought I had lost weight in my feet, but I guess I did. I'll take weight loss anywhere I can get it. :-)

I lost a size and a half!! From a 9 to a 7.5 and in some shoes a 7. This was the hardest thing for me. I LOVED my heels! As a big girl, I never had to hold back buying cute shoes, cute clothes, was a different battle. Now I have to start my heel collection all over again!! Oh well, I'll take a size 10 clothes over a 30/32 anyday!! Love my sleeve

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
