Does anyone know where i can find a Syntrax sample pack? I keep hearing about them but i want to try a variety of samples before i buy the big jars. Websites or actual stores are all fine.

Side note: has anyone ever tried the"Oh Yeah" bars? Do they taste ok? I just need some other Breakfast options. I'm so over yogurt and eggs right now lol.

Thank you all in advance!!

Oh Yeah bars are very good - but get the Oh Yeah One version. Those have one gram of sugar. the other Oh Yeah versions have a lot more sugar in them.

You can get the Syntrax nectar sample packs in a lot of places. I got mine directly from Syntrax. I've also seen them on Amazon. The Bariatric Pal Store also carries them. Just google it - but here's the link to the Bariatric Pal Store's:

I LOVE Oh Yeah One Bars. I try to limit my purchase/use of them because they are so delicious. They are nothing like Quest bars. Lemon is my favorite, and they have one that tastes like almond joy.

We carry the entire Syntrax line at the BariatricPal Store. You can get the sample pack at https://store.bariatricpal.com/collections/syntrax/products/syntrax-nectar-protein-powder-sampler-variety-bag-15-flavors . They'll be back in stock Monday noon.

You can go to the Syntrax website and call their 800 number. They will send you fifteen packets, one of each flavor. I just ordered mine last week! I recommend this over Alex's suggestion - BP's price is basically double Syntrax's if you buy directly from them, unless I read it wrong. :)

Oh Yeah One! Bars are super good. The et carbs are kind of impressive. Unfortunately they are high in calories, so I only get them as a treat every now and then

si03.com

This is Syntrex's website. $16.99 for 15 packets of nectar including shipping- pretty decent price and you get to decide what flavors you like without a major $$$ investment. Hover your mouse over the "Special Offers" quadrant and you'll find the phone number and details. Luckyvitamin.com is the cheapest source I've found for the 2.2lb bottles.

We charge the same price ($39) for the Syntrax Nectar at the BariatricPal Store.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
