Juni7578 4 Posted May 10, 2017 Hi. I had my surgery on April 26th and I am so depresssed from my bipolar that I'm scared I traded weight loss for crazy. I'm barely keeping up with everything I have to do and I am just full of regrets because my bipolar was under control. I was supposed to go tomorrow for a med check but they rescheduled all the way until next month even though I told them how badly I needed to see my psych. I'm going to call my Bariatric team to see if there is someone they can recommend that can see me sooner. I'm really struggling. I had bypass so I'm wondering if it's an absorption issue. 1 Dashofpixiedust8 reacted to this
Dashofpixiedust8 1,469 Posted May 10, 2017 @Juni7578 My weight loss really affected my depression and bipolar. My doctor said it was from the excess of hormones being released during weight loss messing with the effectiveness of my meds. I am now stable again about 11 months out. It is worth it in the end but it is a huge struggle in the beginning. I would call back your doctor and tell them you CAN NOT wait and need to see a doctor sooner, it is not your fault they rescheduled and you should not have to suffer because they had an issue.
