My nutritionist says to never eat more than 3 times a day to prevent grazing. They're all so different!

Me! I lost all my excess weight and have kept it off by eating on a schedule and eating every 2-3 hours.

2.5 years out, and it still works for me ;)

I eat every two to three hours.I eat less than 200 calories at every small meal and try to make sure there is 10-15 gram Protein minimum. For an example I may have triple zero Greek yogurt with five mixed berries and six to nine almonds.the next meal might be 1.5 scrambled egg with salsa, the next might be a balance protein bar.You get the idea.

How do you guys eat every 2 to 3 hours and still get all your liquid in? I am 4 months out and I am struggling with making sure I eat enough and drink enough each day.... after eating, I constantly feel full... then come time to eat again and I am full from drinking my liquid...

Definitely not complaining, just curious how you all pull it off...

For me I drink a half hour before I'm due to eat.at this point I can chug a 8-12ounce glass in five minutes. In the beginning it was a full time job to stay hydrated and that was my main concern, not eating.

I've timed my meals to coincide with my Vitamin schedule:

7:15 - Breakfast and Vitamin #1

9:30 - snack #1 and Calcium chew #1

12:30 - lunch and vitamin #2

2:30 - Snack #2 and Calcium chew #2

5:30 (ish) - dinner and calcium chew #3

Bedtime - vitamin #3

I'm three weeks out...I also struggle between eating & drinking & one or both go lacking because I'm often not hungry. Then I sip when I drink so takes me forever to finish. I can't tolerate taking my chewable Vitamins. They taste horrible & are too huge. I need to do so much better. Perhaps I need to make a schedule as well.

I eat 7-8 times per day. By the time I allow the appropriate time before and after drinking Water, it takes me 12-14 hours to get it all in, but it works!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
