anniecorda 10 Posted January 12, 2017 I had the gastric sleeve surgery December tenth I'm having two Protein shakes a day on in the morning and one a night in the afternoon is trying to have one puréed meal yesturday I actually did 2 onz of sliced turkey I don't have any Snacks and I drink many 4 tea six cups of Water a day I exercise 3 to 4 days a week for over an hour . I'm losing but am I not eating enough yum always under 500 and not meeting my Protein goals but having 3 meals a day so I justify it to myself maybe I should stop babying my self with the Protein Shakes and start wring myself off it's just been really hard for me to eat and also get in my liquids at the same time so that why I went back to the shakes . Bufflehead 6,358 Posted January 12, 2017 You need to hit your Protein and liquid goals and everything else will fall into place. Right now those should be your priorities, not anything else.
suzzzzz 1,005 Posted January 12, 2017 Keep with the Protein Shakes as you won't be able to get enough Protein without them at 1 mth. Work on Water also. The calories will increase as your swelling subsides and you get on solid food. You are doing well!
ready_to_be_thin 179 Posted January 12, 2017 I am a bit over 4 months out and I still can't get my Protein in without shakes and Protein Bars. My doc said get it in anyway I can. I find if I don't get in about 800 calories, I won't lose. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App thank You I'm finding also that I am pushing my self too hard it's important on the weekends for that Saturday or Sunday for me to take one day and just sit it easier for me to get in all my fluids when I'm sitting down and relaxing all day at home rather than running around all week . I have to kind of slow it down . Also pintrist I was looking at the puréed stuff on there for bariatric some of the stuff on there looks preety good . I will defenitly run it by my nutrionist first but Interesting. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
ready_to_be_thin 179 Posted January 12, 2017 I still have a hard time getting all my fluids in too. When I am at home, I will set a timer that goes off every 5 mins to remind me to drink. It seems to help! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App

ddkVSG 32 Posted January 12, 2017 I'm was sleeved 12/27/16. I treat getting my 48-64 oz of Water, 90+ grams of Protein as a full time requirement. I'm holding right at 800-900 calories a day. I know I need now but current restriction isn't allowing that. I eat 5-6 times a day, including 2 shakes. My drs plan says eat that many times a day. anniecorda 10 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) I eat 3xs a day including my Protein shakes as a meal I count the liquid from my Protein Shakes into my liquid for the day I don't eat more than 500 a day also natural carbs are starting to freak me out i don't do any carbs right now but carbs that are coming from my Protein and stuff like that I'm seeing which kinds of protein have more carbs . It's just kind of giving me a carb phobia. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Edited January 12, 2017 by anniecorda
