deb2571 70 Posted January 10, 2017 Anyone else having trouble with kidney stones after surgery. My Dr. thinks I may have them. Dr. says it can come from rapid weight loss and high Protein diet. Didn't expect that. Well that sucks cause it's a high Protein diet for life. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
Waler 330 Posted January 11, 2017 a few years back I was having a problem with stones. The urologist suggested I get plenty of Water in my diet and a good amount of Vitamin C.He stated that ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) would help to cut down on the stone formation. It seems to have worked for me as I have not had another since. Talk to your doc and get his take on it

cyberdiva 47 Posted January 15, 2017 Hmm, unfortunately I can relate. I was doing so well until I ran into the kidney stone brick wall. OMG!!! Childbirth has NOTHING repeat NOT ONE THING on a kidney stone. I had barely had any issues with nausea and seriously I was chilling. Then!!!!! Oh, did I fail to mention that I'm still not a month post op. It's difficult to even Celebrate my weight loss and the fact that I've been taken off of one of my bp mess!!!! Say no to kidney stones.
