GBLady41 393 Posted January 19, 2017 A mini gastric bypass surgery is very similar to gastric bypass surgery, except that there is only one anastomosis instead of two anastomoses. There is still a pouch made, and there is the same restriction and malabsorption but less chance of complications and quicker recovery. tammymae74 2 Posted May 25, 2017 I'm post-op 2 weeks yesterday with a MGB and down 14lbs. I traveled to Tijuana and Dr. Vasquez from Bariatric Select did the surgery!
