lorid 0 Posted September 20, 2007 :faint:I went for my fill today and my surgeon couldn't get the needle in. He told me that he believes the port has flipped and that I will need to meet him at the hospital next Wednesday to do flouroscopy and that if it has flipped he will have to do surgery to replace it. I am so discouraged. Anyone else had this happen?
paulk 0 Posted September 20, 2007 Hi. My wife has had her port flip twice can i ask where your port is and how long you have been banded. She had her port originally on her lower right side . Just tuesday she had a different dr, put it at the bottum of her ribs, This is where mine is It is frustrating but I have heard of it be fore Her first Dr. didn,t do the florascope and poked a hole in her tube.she went a couple of years with no restiction. lorid 0 Posted September 21, 2007 My port is just under my ribs in the middle of my abdomen. I am just discouraged because had to have an unfill a 6 weeks ago for severe burning. My surgeon did a scope and CT scan and determined there was no ulcer so waited a week and put 2 ml back in. With just that much I haven't had the feeling of fullness and satisfaction that I was having before and it has really been a struggle to eat like I know I am supposed to--like not having the band at all. Thank you for your reply. It helps to know there is someone to talk to.
