Hey Guys - I'm almost 18 months post RNY and have been maintaining at my goal weight since April. I moved to Chicago (Lakeview) a few months ago and wonder if any of you are from the city? I've started looking for a good support group or friends in the area to help me stay on track - the holiday was pretty rough with all of the temptations, but I made it through pretty much unscathed. Any recommendations you have would be great!

Congratulations! I am from Chicago, but living in Texas. I have a couple of friends and family members who had the surgery currently living in Chicago. I can ask them where they went for support groups. Did you doctor's office give any recommendations or even have a support group available?

Welcome! Check with Illinois Masonic to see if they have a post-surgery support group. That hospital is in your neighborhood. The NorthShore network of hospitals definitely do, but they meet in Skokie and Vernon Hills.
