brennafaith 25 Posted January 9, 2017 So I'm on full liquids ; which is Soups.. so how many bites does it take yall to get full on average ? I'm trying to tell if I'm full or if it's the gas pains / air bubbles. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
suzzzzz 1,005 Posted January 9, 2017 It is really hard to tell fullness at that stage. My suggestion is to stop when you first question it. Then you can always have more if the feeling goes away. There is a little liberty with post op diet until you get on solid foods. I doubt you can eat enough to not lose weight. I wasn't given any quantities to measure and it worked fine. OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted January 9, 2017 I've never counted bites since they are not scientific and vary from person to person. A better way to tell if you are full early on is burping, hiccups or a running nose. You don't experience restriction on liquids on Soups, what you are feeling is swelling from surgery, so you should never really feel full. Have your 2 ounces if you can, or whatever your program recommends, and stop. There is no way to gauge your capacity early on, you have to measure and work to just meet goals. prelz 8 Posted January 9, 2017 Just eat until you puke. Then you'll know for sure Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
LittleBill 2,231 Posted January 9, 2017 I'm sort of wondering how to bite Soup. I think @@suzzzzz has the best answer. Especially since that is how I did it.
rosestara 48 Posted January 9, 2017 I was told to only eat 2oz of Soup as part of my full liquid diet. Sometimes I feel really full afterwards and sometimes I don't Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
NWJill 119 Posted January 9, 2017 I am on full liquid but was not given a specific quantity. It's strange but I just sort of know when I am done, it's not a full feeling like I used to feel but there is some sort of trigger that I am feeling. I am probably eating between 1/4-1/2 cup of Soup and that is about where I get the feeling Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
brennafaith 25 Posted January 9, 2017 Full liquid post Op by the way; not pre Op. But I have a few bites and I get a full or airbubble feeling.
