I once asked my dentist to take out my sweet tooth!

Recommended Posts

I mean if he was already in the extracting my wisdom teeth then there had to be a way to take out that darn sweet tooth! Lol

So I am the person that silently throws darts at the person in the room that says "I have never been big on sweets"

I'm always like "Dude, did your mother make you suck on lines with your Similac?"

Well I'm trying to cut back and off of sweets. My pre-opp appointment is next Monday so I'm sure I'm going to be told when my "new normal" eating should begin.

I just don't want to shock my system but slowly ease into not eating sweets ever again in life.

But today I am struggling and it's the first day that I'm starting. Yeah Breakfast was a bust. IHOP French toast.

lunch was Soup and dinner is stew but I really want to go to 7 Eleven and grab a "Big Kat" kit kat bar!!!

What can you guys tell me on how to deal with this? How bad can dumping be? I mean I've been dumping my whole life is it nothing like what they talk about?

Any vets out there?

It's not like you can't ever have sweets again, you just won't be able to eat the high sugar content treats you are used to eating. There are lots of recipes for Bariatric friendly Desserts and such - bariatriceating.com has many interesting ones that substitute real sugar with Stevia and Truvia. I plan on making one of them this week to try them out. theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com is another with dessert recipes.< /p>

I had a friend who had a dumping episode while at my house (years before I had surgery). She spent many hours locked in the bathroom during a party. So far nothing with sugar is worth experiencing that for me - especially while out in public.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Lost my Pup last month and struggled really hard for that first month. Stopped tracking intake and slid into old habits here and there. Also quit working out. Can't walk in the neighborhood because of all of the memories we shared. Losing my Pup is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever been through. My Pup was my world 💔
Talked to my doc during my one year followup and they were not worried about my current status. They know, and I know, that I will get back on track.
