Hey guys. So I'm getting a little overwhelmed about getting all my fluids in. I just don't know how much I can drink at a time, plus I'm in puréed so I need to eat. Do you think a sip every few minutes is okay?

Getting Water in should be your number one priority. Good you are in puree but doesn't matter if you get dehydrated. Keep drinking all day long. Even at 6.5 mths out, I always have water handy. The more water, the more weightloss too. It helps carry the toxins and fat out of your body.

Right. Just curious how quickly we can drink. Do you sip every few minutes?

Yes you should be getting in 30ml every 15 minutes right now! So sips every few minutes is perfect and you need to get in at leastv64 oz per day!

Drank pretty quickly from day 3. My program said as long as you don't "guzzle" it, and there is no pain involved, drink as you wish. I just drink 8 oz at a time. Not really a sipper here.

In the beginning I took a sip ever minute or so.

Now I just guzzle 8 to 16 ounces randomly.

11 days out I sip constantly. I set my timer for 30 minutes after Breakfast, fill up my 20 oz water bottle and sip sip sip. When I get that down, set that timer again, have my next "meal", when it goes off and when I'm finished the timer goes back on. I do this all day from the minute I get up till I go to bed. I basically spend my whole day drinking Water or my Protein Shake. Would love to get a nap in once in a while but no time!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
