Need to pee but only trickle after vsg and constant urge

Recommended Posts

Been through this before and you will go, trust me. This is what I e done and it worked. Go in the bathroom and sit down. If you can run the facet. Turn off the lights. Then relax. Focus on the flowing Water. When you start feeling like you are going to go to rush it. Push down a little to help it out if need be. You need to relax. That's the biggest thing. Good luck!

It could be from the anesthesia...I had that after spine surgery

I had to have a cath after surgery because I couldn't pee at all. It's a common side effect of anesthesia. As long as you've got a trickle, though, you should be OK.

If, though, your bladder feels painfully full and you can't pee it out fast enough, go to the ER.

Yeah, anesthesia can do it. I couldn't pee at all for hours, and they had to catheterize me twice. Once the stuff wears off, you will probably be fine. At least you are getting a trickle. That's a good sign.

Thanks for the responses needless to say I finally got cathed the bladder pain was worse than the pain from surgery and my drain I've had issues before because my bladder mesh if my bladder is to fill it closes off my ureter, the nurse and Dr, Was shocked when they drained the 2.3 liters out of me feeling better and passed my leak test and able to drink hopefully I get to leave the hospital tomorrow!
