Atomic*Girl 10 Posted January 6, 2017 This was a staple in my kitchen when I was a vegetarian and tried to eat vegan as often as possible. It really is amazing stuff. Full of nutrients and has a cheesy flavor. Comes in flake form in a canister or by bulk at Whole Foods. Use it anywhere you would use Parmesan cheese, add to any creamy sauces/casseroles, or crumble into breadcrumbs.... Vinasu 621 Posted January 6, 2017 I tried. Really I did. But to me, it tastes like feet smell. I'll need to get my nutrients elsewhere. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
ShelterDog64 2,364 Posted January 6, 2017 I love nutritional yeast! It's so versatile, I add it to anything liquid/moist to give that umami taste that makes things so yum.
talkingmountain 83 Posted January 7, 2017 Omg I eat the stuff with a spoon! LOVE it and its full of B Vitamins and Protein My nightly snack is a big bowl of popcorn sprinkled with low-sodium soy sauce and about 1/2 cup nutritional yeast. Yum.
Atomic*Girl 10 Posted January 7, 2017 Yup! My fave now is adding it to Pacific Organic Cream of Mushroom Soup. Could easily replace Alfredo or Mornay sauce. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
fruitandveggies 456 Posted February 24, 2017 I love nooch! As a 13-year vegan I've tried it every which way. I've come to love its stinky foot smell! Haha 1 Atomic*Girl reacted to this
Atomic*Girl 10 Posted February 26, 2017 (edited) I know! I was a vegetarian for many years and used it then often but forgot all about it. It smells a little funky, but so does cheese... Also amazing stirred into sautéed spinach. Edited February 26, 2017 by Atomic*Girl
