My potassium levels were really low 3 days post op. My doc had me on an IV infusion of it and then liquid oral potassium supplement right before I was discharged. You should call your surgeon and let him/her know what's happening.

talk to your surgeon. it could be nothing - as in just a normal leg cramp, it could be low potassium as mentioned above, what you want to make sure it isn't is an early sign of a blood clot. so best to talk to the surgeon and describe in detail what you feel, where, when etc.

and keep getting up and walking often.

Throwing my opinion in to call your surgeon...both low potassium and a potential clot need to be treated, so calling your provider is best.

My calves have hurt like they are about to cramp ever since surgery. I usually notice it in the morning when I stretch in bed. It doesn't hurt bad enough for me to worry about it.
