So I love these little things. I went to get in my car this morning for work, after my fiance drove last night. The seat a mile away it seemed. Used to it was all the way back regardless who drove. My surgery left an incision in my belly button, I could not even see. It now sits above my belly button. That's just funny.

You don't realize under garments get bigger as clothes do til you raise your arms and opps...you ladies know what I'm talking about. You find your pants aren't the only thing sliding down. My knee high boots the stretchy back kind, no longer stretch but slide down too. Shoes I've lost a size and a half. My coat could easily fit me and a twin. I have ribs and a collar bone. I can run on the treadmill, not long, but hey I'm running. I no longer crave, soda, even diet. I bought one, yes but almost 2 weeks ago, never even opened it. Bought 14 skinny jeans yesterday. We are talking middle school people. That's how long it's been since this always fat girl has seen a 14 that fit more than one leg. Skinny, don't even get me started on skinny, never had anything labeled skinny in my size that fit.

I had to sit in the middle seat of an airplane this week. I swear......i had to look and see if I was accidentally sitting in first class. there was at least 6 inches on each side of my rear and the arm rests.

Also, when the folks sitting next to me came down the aisle, they did not look at me and cringe with dread. Instead, I swear I saw relief on their faces.

And, best of all...my seatbelt actually had nearly a foot of extra belt on it. I said to my husband either airplanes are getting bigger or I am truly smaller than i think. I used to dread asking for those darn extenders, it was embarrassing.

My husband can wrap his arms around me! I also had to adjust my car seat forward. My winter coats are hanging off of me but I refuse to buy any others because they won't fit next year. And I no longer need to squish my earlobes between the front and back of my hoop earrings.

I feel the same way about the coat I'll just wait to get another

I'm in the same boat with winter coats, not sure where my weight will be at the end of March for our ski trip. Bought insulated jeans too small (size 14)to wear for our trip in March and am wearing them today. So we'll see where I am in March and if I'll need to buy new stuff

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
