I haven't been told yet which Protein shake I am supposed to use but pre of I have been using Body Fortress Advanced whey with 60 grams of Protein and the chocolate on is the one I use , it tastes pretty good and it has good protein but I buy it at Walmart for about 20.00 not sure if you can use it but it's worth asking about.

I have always preferred making my own to using the premade ones. My favorite Protein powders are Unjury (Chocolate splendor, or chicken Soup made with warm Water instead of milk for a savory change), Syntrax Nectar (cappuccino or chocolate truffle but they have tons of flavors), Chike Iced coffee (or really any of their flavors), Syntrax Matrix -- any flavor, and Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard, any flavor but especially their double chocolate flavor.

I usually mix mine with unsweetened vanilla almond or cashew milk, and add a couple of teaspoons of instant coffee.

Okay thank you!! I am going to try unflavored Protein and add it 2 my Soups

That's exactly what I do. I can't taste the Syntrax nectar Unflavored, but it doesn't have as much Protein as other brands. I can't taste it at all. I've also added it to hummus and to ricotta. I love that I can't tell that it's in there.

Anyone have suggestions for other brands of unflavored/tasteless Protein powder?

I put the Premier Protein caramel shake in Decaf coffee or sugar free hot chocolate and that helps. I know you don't like the premier, and I'm not a fan of it either, but this way you can't taste it. And I also put a scoop of unflavored Protein in it to get even more protein in. Be careful though because some people become lactose intolerant after surgery :(

I know there's a lot of controversy around GENEPRO, but my surgeon's office recommends it. And I love it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
