Snackpak 19 Posted January 10, 2017 On day three post op I was getting gas by taking just a tiny sip of Water, while I could burp, it was of little relief because it was constant, I took Gas X with little relief. I took the advise of someone to lye on my side, left for me, bent my knees as close to my chest and put a warm heating pad on my lower abdomen and I started passing gas within 5 minutes. Day 4 was exponential better with less gas, I am to sip more regularly now still with some gas. I'm starting Probiotics today to see if these helps. And my ribs so tight and achy. I feel like I can't Move my upper body in my own. I had hoped I'd get some sleep in tonight but I'm waking up every 45 minutes. How long did these gas pains last for you guys? LIA-70 136 Posted January 10, 2017 Gas X will be ur lifesaver on this journey. Im 3 days post op n started my gas x n stool softener tda. Finally passed gas below and pooped day 3... thats when i turned the corner and my 40% of my pain instantly ended. Youll be ok. Im so thankful for this forum. Reading the blogs has helped so much.
