I was sleeved on Tuesday 12/6. I went back to work the following Tuesday, so I was out for one week.

I took three weeks off. I'm half way thru that time now and I'm thinking I'll go back early. I'm a bit bored at home. I work at home on Friday and that went fine. I have a desk job.

I'm a therapist. I took one month off and was exhausted easily by lunchtime for another two weeks.

Not working but I can say I drove the day after I was discharged. It was 3 days before Christmas and all my elves were at work. I did rest a lot while walking the stores but it served me better than laying in bed drinking broth. Got rid of all that nitrous oxide quickly. I never took my hydrocodone so I was good on the road.

Seriously. I was sleeved on a Tuesday, released from hospital on the Thursday, worked from home on Friday and back at the office on Monday. Granted I have a desk job but I was perfectly fine. I am in and out of meetings all day and thought this was a good way to keep my mind occupied. I didn't take any pain meds or nausea once I left the hospital and didn't need them.

I am hoping for the same. I am more disciplined at work than home. I have an optional standing or sitting desk. I constantly walk around the office. I'm getting sleeved in 2 days and hope to go back to office within a week.

I took 2 weeks cause I drive a truck ( not a small one either lol) and it's physically hard.

Water isn't a problem at all. I bring an esky with me everyday to keep my food cool.

I never had to have pain meds thank god. When I got home I was bloody cleaning the next day ( day 3)

My doctor required 3 weeks. But I'm an ER nurse at a level 2 trauma facility. Sitting and resting doesn't happen. I return Wednesday and I'm really nervous. My energy level crashes after a couple of hours of activity

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
