I think we all have had that same exact thought but believe me it gets so much better after you see the weight coming off!! I went on my liquid diet the week of Thanksgiving and I thought that it was the worst thing I could have ever done. Surprisingly I was ok because I put it in my mind that I wanted a life change and this was the start of it. I think we have to understand that we were addicts of food it doesn't change over night and we are still adjusting. You have days that you wanna just go back to being the old you but I promise the new you will love you for what you have done!! Just keep at it and remember it's a mental thing and once you start to accept that then it will get a whole easier!!!

Thank you soo much @redgirl37. I think it's just a change that I'm going to have to adjust to. And with it just happening Friday it's still new to me. I'm so use to my habits that being different or doing stuff different it's the main thing that's getting to me but I will just have to adjust Day by day and know that it was the best decision for my life

"Buyer's remorse" is incredibly common in the early days post-op. You are starving. You are in pain. You are hormonal (remember your system gets flooded with hormones as you break down stored fat). You are wondering if you will ever feel "normal" again. I promise you, it gets a little better and a little easier every single day. The pain only lasts a week or two. The fatigue only lasts a few weeks. You will eventually work your way through the food stages and get into a new routine with your eating. You WILL feel "normal" again. Maybe not the same "normal" as before. But a new "normal". It will probably take a few months to get there, but you will be SO SO glad you made this decision by then.

We are sleeve twinsies

Have you made goals yet? I went out a year with where I would like to be. I made them sensible and conservative but the ending is FABULOUS! I made them conservative enough that I should blast past them and feel great. Then when it gets hard I think yeah, but will I make my goals if I eat this?

It also sounds AWFUL if you rip a stitch. Yuck!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
