WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted January 4, 2017 @@summerset, of course that's what it's about. It's understandable. Reality nevertheless is a better prom date and life partner than baseless expectations. Reality is grown-up, capable and competent; it gets things done. summerset 5,265 Posted January 4, 2017 @@WLSResources/ClothingExch "Dreaming big" might not be as useless as you might think. It also gets things done. Big things. Have a sense of reality but don't be too grown up.
WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) @@summerset, agreed. In this case, though, you and I seem to have different senses of "dream" in mind at the moment. You're thinking in terms of dreams for what one wants his life to be and figuring out the steps to make it all happen. Did I get it? I mean it more as an unconscious, passive state. Daisy Day 91 Posted January 5, 2017 I get frustrated when people do the whole "I'm 4 weeks out and down 40 pounds from my highest weight" um, then you find out that they have only lost 18 since surgery. It's like there is some kind of weird race going on where who ever can brag the biggest numbers is the winner. Last time I checked I wasn't a contestant on the Biggest Loser! Every one should be proud that they just took the step to do this and be healthy, WLS is not easy and we should be encouraging each other with reality.
