BHealthy70 11 Posted January 10, 2017 Hi there. I am getting bypass tomorrow. I am a mixed bag of emotions today. Took the day off from work, mainly because I cannot concentrate on anything but my surgery. Also thought it would be a good idea to flit around my house getting loose ends wrapped up. I am excited to start on my journey to a healthier, more weight, body confident me! Wishing you all success and support on your journey. teedsg 253 Posted January 10, 2017 @@wiresandwood, I'm glad you are feeling better. My surgeon mentioned it will get better gradually. Even though you get to eat porridge, are you feeling hungry?Right now I feel basically zero hunger, and I'm just trying to force myself to get in some nutrition! I find it really hard to get in enough liquids and food. I'm sure it'll get a bit easier down the road, but right now it's still a bit uncomfortable. nicole1171 5 Posted January 10, 2017 Congrats! And best of luck to you on your surgery tomorrow. I ended up going with the sleeve instead of the bypass. I had weighed the pros and cons with my physician and I am overall very healthy with no other complications that he thought the sleeve would be best so that's what I went with. I'm 4 days post op and doing great, don't even need the pain meds they sent me home with and yesterday I got in about 60oz of fluids.
